4-th International Conference on Unsolved Problems of Noise
and Fluctuations in Physics, Biology & High Technology
Gallipoli (Lecce), Conference Centre Grand Hotel Costa Brada, Italy, June 6 - 10, 2005
History
The first conference, organized by Laszlo Kish, was held in Szeged, Hungary in 1996 and was mostly devoted to high technology devices. The total number of talks was 57, the number of attendees was 83 and the Proceedings were published by Singapore Worldwide publishing.
The second one, organized by Derek Abbott, was hosted by Adelaide,
Australia in 1999 and focused mainly on mathematical aspects and paradoxes
in noise and fluctuation research. The total number of talks was 73, the
number of attendees was 74, and the Proceedings were
published
by AIP. The conference received coverage in Nature (Random fluctuations
- Unsolved problems of noise, Nature 401, p.23, Sept. 2, 1999).
